My trip to Poland changed my life. I had participated in Dror Israel workshops leading up to the trip, so I knew my counselor and the other kids. The week together made me think about things differently.  I kept thinking why does such evil exist? How can people do such horrible things to innocent people? We discussed many difficult moral questions.

In Warsaw we learned about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The bravery of the young people who fought for Jewish pride. The idea that young people can fight against injustice under any circumstances. My counselor was amazing. He helped us see how we must make better choices in our own lives, to create change and better society.

This journey gave me a new perspective about the meaning of Israel for the Jewish people, about the importance of never being indifferent, and to always fight against evil.
